System composition and working principle

A typical reaction kettle weighing system primarily consists of the following core components:

Weighing module: installed on the support point of the reaction kettle, typically utilizing pressure or shear beam sensors, responsible for real-time weight data collection.

Control unit: Typically, it consists of a PLC paired with a touch screen or weighing instrument, responsible for processing weight signals, executing logic control, triggering alarms, and can be integrated with the factory’s DCS/SIS systems.

Feeding actuators: such as pneumatic valves, screw pumps, vacuum feeders, etc., automatically start and stop based on weighing feedback signals to achieve precise feeding.

Data Interface: Supports communication protocols such as RS485/Modbus, 4-20mA, and Ethernet, facilitating the integration of weighing data into MES or remote monitoring systems, enabling data recording and traceability.

The workflow is as follows:

The system collects the total weight of the reaction kettle in real-time, automatically deducts the self-weight of the kettle body, and calculates the net material weight.

The operator or the recipe system sets the target feeding quantity.

The control unit opens the feed valve, and when the real-time weight reaches the set value, it automatically closes the valve, completing high-precision quantitative feeding.

Data such as weight, time, and batch are automatically recorded throughout the entire process, supporting audit tracking and quality analysis
